Finance Officer

12 hours per week

Fixed Term / Part-time 12 months (with a view to permanency)


Our Vision: is to enhance the social development and economic advancement of Patuharakeke Hapū while holding fast to our tikanga and kaitiaki values.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient person to join our Trust Board and Taiao/Environmental Unit as our Finance Officer. A self-motivated person able to handle pressure from a varied workload, with great communication and relationship building skills and initiative is needed for this role.


Some key tasks for this role are:

  • Manage the trusts’ financial system via Xero and Xero Projects including

  • Processing wages

  • Maintain budgets

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and invoicing

  • Manage/ track budgets

  • Generate reports and budgets as required

  • Manage IRD administration (PAYE and GST)

  • Keep financial filing system up to date

  • Prepare documents for annual financial audits (inc fulfilling requests by auditors/accountant)

  • Assist the trust by providing other general financial related assistance


You will have experience in a similar role and have a high proficiency in the Xero Accounting System (or similar), Xero Projects and MS Office.


The ability to engage with internal, external stakeholders and our whanau with ease and agility will be valuable.


This position is based in Ruakaka/Marsden Point (however, your workplace and hours will be flexible).



Administrator

16 hrs/week

A self-motivated person able to handle pressure from a varied workload, with great communication and relationship building skills and initiative is needed for this role.


Some key tasks for this role are:

  • ·Hui coordination, notetaking and calendar management,

  • ·Managing all incoming inquiries, primarily via email,

  • ·Managing the daily operations of the Trust Board office and general administration support to the Taiao Unit and sub-committees,

  • ·Assistance with Project Management,

  • ·Assistance with communications including website and social media,

  • ·Assistance with correspondence and reporting as required.


You will have experience in a similar role and be proficient in MS Office. Experience with social media and web platforms, google and dropbox for example as well as project management software will be valuable.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with internal, external stakeholders and our whanau with ease and agility will be important.


Knowledge of our Patuharakeke Hapū, or Te Ao Māori is desirable.


This position is based in Ruakaka/Marsden Point (however, your workplace and hours will be flexible).
