Patuharakeke Te Iwi Trust is seeking to connect with uri of Patuharakeke, ngā whanaunga and members of our wider community who may be interested in supporting kaupapa across our Te Pou Taiao operational and business mahi.
As our projects and initiatives continue to grow, we are looking to connect with people who are keen to contribute their skills, time and passion to support the kaupapa and future of Patuharakeke and our rohe.
Opportunities may include casual or part-time work, with the potential for some roles to develop into permanent part-time positions as projects evolve.
🌿 Areas of mahi:
Field mahi
• Environmental restoration work – pest and weed control, maintenance and monitoring
• Research and fieldwork assistance across moana, freshwater and whenua environments
Business Support
• Business administration and organisational support
• Communications, reporting and documentation support
• Project coordination and support with contractors and partners
🛠 Skills and experience we value:
Field mahi
• A strong interest in environmental sustainability and kaitiakitanga
• Good people skills and the ability to work with whānau, hapū, community and partners
• Fieldwork or environmental monitoring experience
Business Support
• Administrative experience and confidence using Microsoft Office
• Experience with Xero or financial systems (essential for office-based roles)
• Project coordination or organisational skills
